Victoria, Labuan

Victoria (Malay: Bandar Labuan) is the capital of the Malaysian Federal Territory of Labuan, an island off the north coast of Borneo. Though the term Bandar Labuan is more prominently used than the former. The Financial Park along Jalan Merdeka houses the international offshore banks, insurance and trust companies. Currently Labuan has a population of 85 000 people living here.

There is also a 1,500-seat capacity convention hall and a large shopping mall. This modern complex is reputed to be the only one of its kind to be found in any International Offshore Financial Centre in the world and Labuan Port Jetty.
